Game SummarySmithfield took a 1-0 lead on Pavia’s behind the net shot off the goalie with Piekarski on the assist and Smithfield was up 1-0. With 2:16 left in the period Varin from Goolgasion and Piekarski lite the lamp and Smithfield took a 2-0 lead after one.
The first two goals of the second belonged to Feehan and the game was knotted at two. At the 8:18 mark of the second Simons from Varin broke the tie and the Sentinels went up 3-2. A minute 30 seconds later Goolgasion from Piekarski put Smithfield up 4-2 and the Sentinels took that score into the locker room.
Feehan answered 1:13 into the third and closed the game to 4-3. Smithfield looked to be on their heels but fought through it with some key saves from Evan Carlton. Smithfield got their skates back under them and the game went back and forth with some great two way hockey. Paiva from Vennema added an empty netter with 28 secs left and iced the game. The Sentinels gained two points in the standings with a 5-3 victory.
Evan Carlton faced 27 shots and turned away numerous Feehan scoring opportunities. Chris Paiva had 2 goals and Tyler Piekarski registered 3 assists for the game.
