- We will have all players participate in the RI High School Hockey League by fielding two different teams. Teams will play at each level that the league offers, A & B. Teams will be divided up by both age and status in this past year’s program. The rosters and schedule for both teams will be posted by June 15th. The A team will be all of last year’s returning varsity rostered players and possibly a couple of more. The B team will be last year’s strictly JV players and all incoming freshmen. Games are 15 minute periods. The coaches for the teams will be Coach Scotti and Coach Fugere for the A team and Coach Thibeault for the B team. Games will be played out of Smithfield Rink and rt. 146.
- We will also have a weekly practice that all SHS players attend which will be every Thursday from 4-5pm at the Smithfield Ice Rink. We will start June 30th and go through August 25th. We will have the ice from 4-5pm.
- The cost for both the league (minimum 13 games) and skills session (9 sessions) is $400. Games consist of three 15 minute periods. Skills are all one hour long. Please see the attached registration form and bring it to coach at school or mail it to the address provided. All checks are to be made out to Robert Jackson. Please get this done asap. If you do not plan on participating you need to tell coach right away.
